I discovered my passion for music at an early age. Having blown every spare penny on records from the age of 6, I started playing the bagpipes, but struggled to retain an audience. I found that playing the guitar brought more abiding pleasure to my friends, which determined my subsequent direction

. I play bass and harmonica as well.

My first album is called Freefall and is available on Soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/dragoman-eck as well as here. I was fortunate to be assisted by Dan Donovan on keyboards, Lara Cazalet on vocals and Simon Bourcier on electric guitar as well as full production duties. I am in their debt.

My influences include Afro-Peruvian and Brazilian music, and closer to home, the pastoral North European folk music of John Martyn, Nick Drake and Mike Scott. Scott Walker must also be mentioned here as an all-time hero, as well as Brian Eno.
